I thought it was a temp sensor fault, thats what I've read everywhere else on the net

Yes you are correct, my mistake. PRR in Gecko and HydroQuip packs means temp sensor alarm or failure.

09-24-2012, 09:16 AM #13Hi Steve, before I go any further I am not a electrical engineer of any sorts but like to think of myself as a pretty good Fixer, what I'm doing is not in line with manufacturers guidelines but it is working.
As of yet I have not wired the temp sensor up to the cable and it is still sitting wedged into the circuit board, the prr code has gone , but I wouldn't reccomend this as it only reads the ambient temp under the tub as opposed to the water temp and your water will just heat up until the HL switch kicks in.
My plan is to solder the new temp sensor onto the existing cable and put into the existing metal tube. First you will need to drill out all the old potting compound and cables, then slide your new sensor into the tube with some potting compound sourced from ebay again (about £5). as you have the exisiting plug on the cable it should work...I emphasize should as I've not tried it yet but at least it got rid of the prr code. get some advice from an electrical geek before trying. I'll let you know how I get on when I try it, better to spend £6 at trying to fix it than sourcing a part for £70 that doesn't even fit!
