Hi there,
Can anyone help? I have an older arctic "cub" spa that came up with a prr error code (water temp probe malfunction). I easily removed it and ordered another probe with the part number on the cable. It turns out this part number has been updated, my temp probe has 3 wires and a red connector block but this part number is now allocated to a temp probe with 2 wires and a different block. I wrote to Gecko to ask for the alternative and they said there is no alternative for my circuit board pack number and you just need to order the part number I'd already given them. But this has 2 wires and I need 3...... anyone else had this problem, surely I can't be the first? The temp probe part number is 9920-400342. If you go to any spares websites it shows a probe with 3 wires but when you order it comes with 2.. in desperation, can anyone help identify a solution...... can I just order any temp probe and splice it into my connector block?
Regards
James

I think I've nearly solved the problem, I bought a temperature sensor off Ebay for 99p:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LM335Z-TEM...item3376aebdb3
I've connected this to the circuit board today by just pushing the legs onto the pins of the board and the PRR code disapeared and the hot tub started working. All I need to do now is wire it up and put it in the tube of the old temp sensor....99p bargain

That is a high limit sensor and they will usually slide under a plate on the heater manifold.

Can it not be used for a temp sensor maryh? Or is there another way?

Some temp and high limit sensor are the same. The high limit sensor is usually mounted on the heater monitoring the temperature of the water in heater. In most cases but not all the temp sensor is installed in the spa to monitor the temperature of water in spa. I was just trying to be clear this is the sensor on heater which is usually slides under mounting plate on heater manifold.

But how can it be a hi limit sensor if it's giving a prr fault?

PRR is usually an error code for the pressure switch.
