Sorry, long post, but try get point across. Owner of Emerald Series Cygnus Spa.(old, but ran great) Heard pop and hired help replaced mother board with a Balboa 500SZ panel. Ran fine, but noticed water kept getting hotter. Tried shutting down and resetting, but no use. Finally, another pop. Exasperated, I drained and it is just sitting here. Feeling sorry for it, just sitting there, so decided to call doctor. Would like to know what problem may be, before I call a tech. Single mom ,who the last tech thought I wouldn't know what he was doing. Fooled him!(Maybe he fooled me) lol

I am not sure I know what the "pop" sound is. Is the GFCI tripping? It may be the temp sensor causing it to overheat.
