I have a 15 yr old MarQuis spa and the overheat protection sensor has been tripped even though the temp never went over 106. How do I determine if the sensor is defective and which one I need to test? Thanks.

FYI: I have changed motors and installed a new heater assembly but am fairly clueless about how the controls work. Is this over my head?
