Hello, We purchased the cover from HottubWorks afew years ago but during Hurricane Ike high winds
it weakened the straps and not long ago the one side of the tub the straps came unstitched completely, Is there a way I can do a home repair on replacing them myself?

You can try sewing the strap back on but think it would be difficult without industrial equipment. We use a Dacron Polyester UV resistant thread. You also mentioned on another thread that the underneath is ripped. I am not sure you would be able to repair a rip in the underneath. That is the area where your spa cover gets it's most abuse due to warm water and chemicals constantly trying to penetrate the vinyl barrier. We use a industrial grade heat sealed reinforced vinyl on the bottom of the spa to protect the foam from this harsh enviroment. You may want to consider replacing with a new cover, especially if the foam was cracked, you can potentially loose heat if warped or cracked.
