I have had a LA Spa Paradise for about 3 years and all has worked fine. There are 2 switches for the pump, one turns on the left side and the other the right side. The left side has a low and a high mode. Today when I turned on the left side i heard the pump go on but the wather only trickles out. When I turn it on and off I can see the water start but then it quickly goes to a trickle. The pump does not sound any different. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks
If your spa has slice valves (http://www.hottubworks.com/SpaParts/PlumbingValves.php) for the pump (http://www.hottubworks.com/SpaParts/PumpsSideCenterDischarge.php) make sure those are all the way open. If so, then it may be an air lock in the pump. What you need to do is loosen the pump union nut (http://www.hottubworks.com/SpaParts/PumpUnions.php) just slightly until water starts trickling out for a bit to release any air that may have been trapped in spa pump wet end (http://www.hottubworks.com/SpaParts/PumpsSideDischargeWetEnds.php). Then tighten the union nut back up and try operating the pump.
