My spa pack is throwing a PSoL error. I can turn it to high, and lots of water comes through, but when I turn it to low, it immediately changes to PSoL and doesn't heat.
1) I loosened and retightened the ring around the top (outflow) of the pump until no air comes out (just water). Now, it only squirts out water when I loosen this ring.
2) I let it run for a quite a while on high.
3) I replaced the filter.
Then we removed the spa pack. Water flows great out of both of the cut off valves that go to the tub, and water flows through the filter OK. The inside of the spa pack where the heater coils are is still shiny. There are no visible obstructions in any of the pipes around the spa pack.
We did have a hard freeze last winter. I had drained the water on the tub, but the big plastic ring on the filter had cracked. Now I am wondering if the pump cracked.
Since the flow seems to be OK, is there a way to over-ride the PSoL error? Is there something else I can test?
