I have an older spa that does not heat the water, every thing else seems to work. It has just been sitting for the past year, is there a universal heater that is easy to install (since I will be the one to install, unless an electrician is recomended). Or should I just have someone come haul it away? The model # on the pump is MD - S48L2A10...thank you for any help.
Usually a spa heater (http://www.hottubworks.com/SpaParts/HeatersLanding.php) is not too difficult to replace. If you would like to email me directly at mary@hottubworks.com with any pictures of the old heater I can help walk you through the replacement. But before you replace the heater try removing the spa filter (http://www.hottubworks.com/HotTubSpaFilters/Filter_Search.php) and turn the thermostat up and see if the heater will come on. If you have a water flow issue such as a clogged or dirty filter the pressure or flow switch will not allow the heater to come on.
