I have a 2004 cal spa with the FL code showing and it will not operate. Will replacing the Tecmark 4037P switch fix it. If so, how do you replace the switch? Does the tub have to be empty? Do you put teflon tape, etc on the threads? Thanks....Doug
By replacing the pressure switch (http://www.hottubworks.com/SpaParts/HeaterPressureSwitches.php) that may repair the spa but before doing so you need to check to make sure your filter (http://www.hottubworks.com/HotTubSpaFilters/Filter_Search.php) is not causing the flow problem. If the spa filter (http://www.hottubworks.com/HotTubSpaFilters/Filter_Search.php) is dirty it can cause a flow restriction causing the FL code. Try removing filter (http://www.hottubworks.com/HotTubSpaFilters/Filter_Search.php) first and if the FL code goes away I would recommend replacing the spa filter (http://www.hottubworks.com/HotTubSpaFilters/Filter_Search.php) or if it's new then a very good cleaning.
If you decide that the pressure switch (http://www.hottubworks.com/SpaParts/HeaterPressureSwitches.php) is causing then to replace check to see if you have slice valves (http://www.hottubworks.com/part-1-SV15S-item-hottub-slice-valve.php) in the equipment area that can be closed so you don't need to drain entire spa. Teflon tape can be used on the threads.

Thanks Mary, I already tried removing both filters so I am going to try replacing the switch...........Doug
Sounds like you are on the right track. One other thing to think about is to make sure that the water coming out of the jets has not weakened due to debris in the spa pump (http://www.hottubworks.com/SpaParts/PumpsLanding.php). That could also cause a flow issue. Just trying to cover all bases.

I replaced the pressure switch and the filters. The spa works right after I turn the breaker on but after a cycle it goes back to the "FL" mode. Any ideas? Thanks..........Doug
