jet selector valve

I have a Hot Spring spa with a plumbing issue to the left off the 4way conector from top of pump I have a leak I need torelease the the 4way from the tub so I can lower all of this and make a new connection. Does the top black ring un screw so that it will allow 4way to drop down? it appears to be threaded unjderneath.

There is probably a nut from underneath the lip of the spa that would need to be unscrewed in order for the through wall fitting to slide out.
