Liz- Sorry to hear it, sounds like you bought a Sundance Maxxus. Here's the truth on any spa cover that comes with a new Hot Tub; they are cheaply made as possible. I can say this because I worked for Sundance and others, and the cover is a part where price is the main driver, for its seen not as a feature that drives consumer to buy the spa. What comes with the new spa is what we call our "indoor" cover. Again, I know this because we supply manufacturers with covers and what they want is always the least expensive, which we are good at but its a product that last 2 years.

We have become the largest direct to owner spa cover supplier in the last 7 years by simply providing the truth and great values. I know we can provide you a better spa cover at a cost less than you will pay the dealer. Simply because you are buying direct, we build quality spa covers, and we know what will last. In fact most of models come with a 5 year warranty. We have the patterns for all Sundance Models and spa cover experts available to help you choose the right option for you.

Give us a call and judge for yourself. Alea is our CS Manager, 800-770-0292 x 110

I am very leary of hot-tub covers at this point...purchased a $15,000 Sundance tub (yup, the comma's in the right place) and the cover lasted 2 years. Not to mention that the power supply to the stereo died 4 months after the warantee coverage expired but that's another issue and one that Sundance won't deal with. The cover became waterlogged, the mesh 'handles' on the sides literally disintegrated and now I need to spend ANOTHER $1200+ to be able to use my tub (can't get the cover off by myself due to the weight).
