Spa and Hot Tub Thermostats
Mechanical thermostats are used on many older spa control systems by Len Gordon, Brett Aqualine and others. Mechanical thermostats are used mostly on Air spa control systems, and are not used on digital spa controllers. Spa thermostats from Cotherm, Eaton Mears and Tecmark, with capillary bulbs of varying diameter with attached copper cables of varying length.
Solid state thermostats are used on certain spas that have early generation digital spa controls, using potentiometer and a manual finger dial to raise and lower temperature. Solid state thermostats Potentiometers are stored in a black box with a dial on one side and wire connections on back, includes coated cable and capillary bulb.
Order your spa heater thermostat replacement to replace mechanism or potentiometers that no longer function properly. These can also be used for other uses on heaters and boilers. If you have a digital spa side control with a touchpad (not a manual dial to turn up the heat), your spa probably does not use these hot tub thermostats.
